I thought I read somewhere that Japan was considering changing this policy as a way to boost its economy.
Considering Howa already exports their hunting rifles already maybe one day we will see these too.

They'd be more expensive than the Swiss Arms. Based on the article, they would cost around 338,800 yen, which works out to be about $4300 Can.

Which is prohib but another one of those very exciting rifles from japan/korea that I wish we could get.
The koreans had the piston operated/m16 hybrid down pat waaaaaay before we got our XCR's and piston ar's and other stuff.
