so in NZ i got to handle a howa, ultralight!?

carbon stock?

small, little, petite..... very KIMBER like.......

Anyone on here got one they want to try sell me out of buying one????

i havnt got the money right now but im thinking they are perfect for my Lady !!??

this one didnt have a bolt in it, so the weight may go up a bit but felt very light?

any info please

I shot one about 3 weeks ago in 6.5 creedmore I was quite impressed with the accuracy I shot several sub 1 inch groups very handy
If I didn’t already own a fleet of Kimbers I probably would own one the magazine is kinda flimsy and I personally would ditch the rail
As it it too tall

Cheers Tony

I own one in 308, haven't gotten around to shooting it yet though. Mine didn't have the original stock inletted correctly so the bottom "metal"/trigger guard housing did not sit deeply enough in the stock to allow the mag to sit high enough for the bolt to strip a round from the mag. I sent it back and got a replacement stock(in a camo pattern I liked much better, so that's a plus at least). I removed the picatinny rail and mounted Talley lightweights to the receiver and dropped an Accupoint 3-9x40 on it.

Once I load up some more rounds I'll take it to the range and see how it does for accuracy.

I have a Howa mini in 6.5 Grendel. It shoots way better than a featherweight should. The action needed some polishing, but now feels pretty good.

i was goin down this route a while ago esp in 6.5 grendal, although i endd up getting a zastava in 7.62x39.... its goin good an is pretty useful for the small deer with the 150gr load but want my partner to get into shooting a bit more, an with her own gun, so the 6.5 creed sems to fit the bill an also the howa felt amazingly light, which is a bonus , she shoots my kimber 7-08...but thats mine. mind you she shoot it better than me :)

I have a featherlight in 6.5 Grendel. That zipper sound of the action is irritating but it'll go away time. Fantastic accuracy though. I'll probably sell once the 6mm ARCs come.

I have a featherlight in 6.5 Grendel. Hands down favourite rifle to date. Under 400y for typical big game and it leaves little to be desired. I don’t notice the recoil, it has quite a low report comparatively to many calibers. It’s cycles very quickly (little noisy at first), decent trigger, threaded barrel,

A bonus is that all the women and kids will shoot it comfortably.

A heavy barrel would be a joy to shoot to target 1000y with.

I have one and it’s my least favourite rifle. Much prefer my Ruger American ranch. They function and shoot well but it feels cheap, limbers do not imo, the Ruger does not. I wish I never went down the howa road. I was suckered a couple times as I’m a slow learner, I tried to love them.

I picked up SS CVA scout compact 243win for my wife a couple years ago. She just recently complained it’s too heavy. Maybe a box down the pipe. Now I have to decide if it’s going down the road to the next owner?

I don’t own a howa ultralight but have a weatherby vanguard s2 built by howa. It’s not as smooth as some others, but it definitely doesn’t feel cheap.

I think the ultralight has a lot of appeal. 7mm08 topped with a Leupold 1.5-5x20 would be perfect for NE Ontario. Wish they came in SS.

We are actually goin down this route shortly, My Partner is getting her "FAL" an then we will be getting a Superlite!!!
it will be .308 because .277 is minimum for Sambar deer here, excludes the 6.5creed unfortunatly.

i will down load the .308 with 4895 an use a 150gr SST to produce a load thats proberly around 2400-2500 or where recoil isnt brisk.

we looked at the Carbon stalker , but it is a 24 inch barrel? an the 20 inch plus lighter overall appeals to her after carting my Kimber (2.8kg) around and also the Abolt (3.5kg) she certainly prefers the Kimber weight...

will make it known once we do so, im trying to get her to purchase on my License but she is OK to wait.... dammit lol
