I'm one of those long-time lurkers who finally decided to take the plunge and introduce myself. I live in the Fraser Valley and think that this is a great site (which has already proven to be an invaluable resource). I have already met some of the local characters - albeit only in passing - and am looking forward to meeting some more in the next while.

After more than a decade of inactivity, I started going to the range once more about two months ago. Then started reading CGN threads. This site is informative and entertaining. A good group who appreciate "our right" to have firearms responsibly.
Looks like we in BC are a decent size. Lot's of good stories and experiences from young and old alike.
The issue you should be aware of: if you are an active shooter with at least a PAL, expect to get pulled back into the world of firearms ownership.
The EE has a majority of succesfull sellers with sometimes "great deals" that cannot be passed. While the Discussion forum delves into member's experiences with specific groups of arms. Reading these will result in your upgrading or adding to your stash. Having joined last March, have added 4 pieces (3 from local gun stores and 1 from the EE).
