Howdy in Edmonton

Hi.

new to CGN forums. I was out in Edson last week and got not one but two fellow hunters giving props for this site.

I'm a new hunter, aside from some yeehaw shoot-em-up pepperoni moments that made me quit hunting in the Maritimes...

I just couldn't take the poor discipline. I've been in the military for 19 years and counting, so I waited to get home to Alberta, where I first learned about gun safety and hunting anyways.

Not much I haven't seen in the way of military small arms, but the world of single shot, Bolt action and other fine rifles is new to me. I have always loved weapons and their uses, but I've got a lot to learn in the hunter's way...

I own a Ruger .22-250 and a Karl Gustav 6.5 x 55mm.

Regards.

Welcome to CGN and good to have you aboard. You'll find a fair number of current serving military here as well as former military.

The Karl Gustav will serve you well in getting back into hunting.

And lest I forget, thanks for your service to our country.

Howdy! Fellow Edmontonian here (and currently serving military member as well). Glad to hear people are out in the Edson area. What are you hunting there? I'm going for small game (rabbits, grouse, partridge) near Edson this Saturday (and possibly Sunday). If you're interested in pooling resources, I'm always interested in meeting new people to hunt with.

Feel free to PM me if you're interested in hunting at some point this season.

Cheers, and welcome to Gun Nutz!
