Bingo, whitail bucks are open till the end of November in my region. I usually have slugs or 00buck in the Velcro shell holder just in case I see a deer while I'm out looking for chickens.

I got a bag of legs in the freezer that's steadily growing, going to have a wing night very soon. No point in wasting meat as far as I see it :) if it's edible I'm all over it.
