Maybe this only applies to the prairies but this Sept has been incredibly hot for this time of year. I've been out with the bow for a while now the game sure seems to be holding deep in the cover.
Went for elk and saw lots but the bulls just weren't calling at all. Got a couple in to about 150 yrds with a cow call but thats it. ( A bit far for the bow
Very little moving around my deer stand just a pair of fawns with their mama and a bear that took a big dump on my bait just to say hello
Finally tonight I started seeing deer coming out on the field edges.
This heat sure seems to have affected the animals. Has anyone else noticed this ?
