Hey has anyone bought an HP at Badger Supply?

He's got them listed for $199.00.

This is a great price for one of those.

Any experiences with this dealer?

Thanks

I haven't dealt with Badger Arms officially, but I've called a couple times I believe his name is Armand. Great guy, very friendly service, polite, and I personally am going to order from there....when I have some money again

It's the 780 homeland security model, if I'm not mistaken same as sfrc is selling for $129.00. It's not the hp9, big difference.
No, it's not. Check the website. They're regularly $219 and they have them on same for $199.

What is the difference between the hp-9 and the 780?

HP9 is Parkerized.
780 is Blued.

Hp9 is Remington 870 Compatible.
780 is not.

Hp9 has a much better track record of funtionality and reliability.
780 has been known to have feeding issues, extraction issues and reliability issues.

I have not had any issues with my HP9, it is a reliable and very fun shotgun, my 780 on the other hand is a different story.

Theammosource.com is very upfront with the advertising of them and show the two different models.

HP-9 or 780

When we bought this model of Norinco 12ga 14", it was purchased as the
HP-9.
On the CFO cert under model it is HP-9 and on gun it is 780, the guns were sold to us and imported as HP-9, we had no plan to mis inform.

I just got off the phone with Armand at Badger, and he came through big time for me.

Nothing but class, Thanks Armand!!!!

Armand was so good on the phone, I now feel bad for questioning the situation.

I bought one of these and was shipped a 780 Homeland Security. I thought it was just a misship, but unfortunately that's exactly what happened to Badger too. They have a pile of shotguns that are all registered incorrectly and sold to them incorrectly by mistake of the company that sold them to him.

What a nightmare, he now has to correct the CF registration of all them he sold. Over 80 of them he told me.

He is going to sell the rest off for $119.00 and gave me two options on the one I bought.

I can either send it back, or take it for the $119 and he will credit me the difference. As well he promised me a great price on the HP9's when they come in.

If you bought one of these from him, I'm sure he will give you the same deal.

Thanks again Armand, and I apologize for even questioning your position on this.

Just a small word of advice to all, because I have my foot in my mouth over this one. Just because a dealer doesn't get back to right away doesn't mean they are ignoring you. Guys like this are working hard to rectify the situation and want to give you a solid answer before they call you back.

Be patient, be polite, and everybody will be reasonable.

Merry Christmas. I'm going shooting!

I would say no not HP9 as he stated on the gun it is 780....paper can say they are tavors marking on the gun indicate what they are.

I bought my first 2 handguns from Badger he took the time to call me and answer a few questions I had e-mailed him, He also kept me informed as to the status of my order for every step of the process. Was very pleased with the level of customer service I recieved.I will be ordering a HP9 when he gets them in

Glad to hear things worked out, I think a lot of people jump to publically bashing vendors (not saying you did that) before they properly investigate the situation. Most if not all vendors want to do the right thing and given a chance will do do so.

I will give Badger a good look when they get their HP9s in.

Cheers to all.

The only reason I knew it was a 780 was because I was going to buy one and had an email exchange with Armand who was very polite and explained the situation to me, I have bought from them before and will definetely buy from again.

The 780 Homeland Security is actually a Norinco HP9-1 on the FRT. It's easier to just refer to it as the 780 Homeland Security to avoid any confusion with the actual HP9's. I though they were HP9's the first time I ordered them, sounds like an honest mix up to me.

I just looked at the website, it sure looks like a 780 pictured but it's labeled HP-9.
Glad I didn't order one, I would have been choked.

I'm glad I read this thread first as I was almost ready to buy one from them as it is still advertised as an HP-9. With all respect I think the info should be corrected and advertised as the 780 Homeland model to avoid any future mixups.Just saying.

I have purchased guns and ammo from Armand. He seems like very friendly and genuine guy. I have never been to his store, but they seem like they are big enough to get what you need, yet small enough to care about the customers.

You can't go wrong ordering from Badger.
