HP9/Grizzly ejector/extractor, how do they hold up?

I just unpacked my shiny new HP9 from SFRC. I am pleasantly surprised at how solid and well built the shotgun is. Up until now my shotgun has been an Ithaca 37. The only concern I have (it could be totally OCD:D) is the little ejector spring just looks a little fragile. How are the ejectors/extractor holding up over time when the round count gets high?

no worse than an 870 Express.

AFAIK the ejector spring simply aids in ejection. the actual ejection is primarily done by the ejector - the blade of metal underneath - which is a beefier part. the 20 gauge 870s dont even have the ejector spring, just the ejector.

Nate, I don't think you have anything to worry about... I have a couple thousand rounds through my Grizzly and there is no appreciable wear. My '86 vintage wingmaster has well over 10 thousand rounds through it and tip that mates with the slot in the barrel is getting beat up a little but it isn't ready for replacement yet.

My HP9 had its extractor last around 200 rounds before it would not pull empties out. I replaced it with a Remington extractor and that cured the problem. Have not had the same problem with my Dominion Arms 15" mag fed grizzly though so perhaps it has been corrected on the production line.
