I just made a trade for HS Pircishion PHL in 7mm RM
Where I live we never see or hear of HS Pircishion rifles just a bunch of Savages,Remington's ,Marlins ,Brownings ,Winchesters and sum Brunos and the odd enfiled, Mausers,SKS
Just looking seeing who has bin shooting HS Pircishion PHL how do you like the rifle ?
I hear thay are very smooth action and extremely accurate

I have a proguide lite, which is likely now the phl, and two htr rifles. I have had the phl almost a decade, its light, short and easy to pack. Its a 325 wsm, which is about all I want in a light rifle. It pretty easily meets the 1/2 moa when I am up to it, and the rifle is noyt picky with loads it likes, it shoots most things under moa and tuned loads into nice little clusters. The HS is my fav action, push feed and a winchester style 3 position safety, decent trigger. The action is nice and smooth, and the rifles finishing is good. No stock lines sticking up from the metal work or vise versa, unlike a few other rifles (fierce for one). The two htrs are a 300wsm and a 6.5-284. Both of which also easily meet the 1/2moa, the 300 is more of a 1/3moa rifle.
I think you will like it, if not let me know ;)

My guess is you have a PHR ( fluted barrel?) not a PHL as they only build the PHL in short actions. The rifles are solid. And definitely shoot!!! You will be impressed!

I have 4 HS rifles and all shoot extremely well. My custom HTR 338 lapua with folding stock will shoot 3/8moa at 100 yards and has shot 15" 3 round group at a mile...

Thanks guys I bin researching them on line but you know that go's it better to hear from guys that hunt with there rifles
You can only learn so much sitting at a gun range the real test is when you get out hunting an the rifle is getting worked

What did you trade for it? If you care to share....

It was a really fair trade money wise I had a Modern Hunter thout I would try it out hunting with is but found it vary heavy plus it just didn't fit my style of hunting
The MH is best for farm hunting and hunting in a bline
I love the spot and stalk it the best part of the hunt and the MH took
away from what I'm good at
The modern Hunter is a incredible rifle very accurate but it's not realy a rifle for a long day hunting on foot

Sounds legit to me. I held a few modern hunters and although I thought they were great guns I couldn't picture myself hunting with one. Good for you on the trade!

Timing is just right I just started getting a interest in goat and sheep hunting and the HS will be just the rifle for my needs
I was hopping to get out for sheep this year up in Hinton but timing was out I can go now but just don't seam right with the snow pushing the sheep down
so I will wate till next year with luck I can go with somebody from Alberta jury the regular hunting season
I think I will book a unguided hunt to get dropped of up in the mounten and pick up 2 weeks later by Horse

Now that I have my ultralight rifle I need a scope think I will go with a nice light Leopold with the custom Tourets
I still want a ultralight 308 with peep sights but I'm realy happy with my trade
After I pick up the reast of the ultralight gear I will look into the 308 hopefully by spring

Got the rifle today it is a HS Precision prohunter 2000 LA it's a lot longer then what I was expecting
man is that trigger nice
The rifle is not as light as I was hopping to pack in the mountains but not to heavy I think I will set it up for shooting at longer ranges and have Carlyle in Dawson creek set the rifle up for me this winter
So I'm still looking for a ultralight rifle it to bad know one is making ultralight mountain rifles with peep sights

It is going to make for one hell of a nice long rang hunting rig
