HS Precision Stock Inlet

How difficult is it to do a Bottom Metal inlet on these stocks (Savage LA)? I'm a handy guy, is this something I can try with a Dremel or should I get a smith to do it?

Dremel is to gunstock as chainsaw is to trimming fingernails.

a milling machine would be better than a dremel. you don't want to have nice wavy cutouts around the bottom metal.

If you know a skilled gunsmith with a mill, let him do it.

I have inleted bottom metal for cz452 into carbon fibre stocks using Dremel routing adaptor with good results but you have to be very precise and finish up with needle files. If you mess up you can bed the bottom metal with epoxy assuming your stock is not painted.
