HS precision stock sling studs

I picked up a HS precision stock for a remington VSF, but it has no swivel studs.

I tried screwing the studs from my VLS wood stock in. The rear one seemed a little long and would not go all the way in. I didn't want to force it because I thought either it might be bad for the stock or it might scream and smack me in the face.

Do I need diffrent studs for a synthetic stock than I would need for a wood stock?

Just measure the depth of the hole and cut the rear stud's threaded portion shorter. Dress the threads and it will fit fine. - dan

these stocks have a machine thread..not a wood screw type thread like a wood stock...I think it's a 10-32...try asking "cccan"..he went thru this a while back...
