HS VHS-K bullpup rifle

If what i remember reading about this the VHS was a mix between a Tavor and Famas earlier versions shared those traits. I personally am not a fan of this rifle (based on look and price) and would prefer the Serbian Zastava M21 (lower price, look and kalashnikov based). Why oh why must Kalashnikov and its variants be prohibited :( :

Marcellogo, quite an impressive find this video.

Now if only I can erase the mental image of him in an Adidas track suit and wearing half of the jewelry of Mr T.
From what I could make out, I hope my dumplings turn out ok.

Looks good, but...

The adjustable portion of the stock would get it prohibited like it did that bullpup shotgun not too long ago...

As for the video, it's highlighting changes over the old design. The guy was presented as a court expert (considering his oratory skills, I wouldn't want him on MY side in court lol) but no other creds listed. Some of the features he pointed out were the 6 position adjustable stock (really went on and on about it - how it's user-friendly, adjustable to the user regardless of the physical constitution, blah blah blah, yadda yadda yadda), being able to switch whether the cases get ejected to the left or to the right on the fly, added dust cover, ambi no pew-pew-pewpewpew fun switch, carry handle rail (now lower and longer), highlighting side/bottom rails , optional accessories including foregrip, reflex sights, bayos, 40mm launcher (designed not to mess with the ergos and balance). I don't speak "Croatian" or "Serbian" or "Bosniak" or "Montenegrin".. I speak Serbo-Croatian, which used to be one language until a bunch of people in those countries got into crack, meth and who knows what else and started writing nation-building fiction. I think they even came up with new alphabet letters in Montenegro. It's like speaking Canadian, Australian or Texan.

How so? This design is original (although FAMAS-like).

I thought the shotgun you were referring to was prohibited because the po-po determined it was a variant of a prohib.

Looks like a G36 that went binge drinking and knocked up a FAMAS.

Interesting - but as most bull-pup armies are realizing it was stupid - I don't see a point of this gun.

The High Standard Model 10?

Nope. They ruled that the little piece that you put against your shoulder is "the stock". Since it's detachable, they ruled it a prohibited device and went around confiscating guns.

Thread, rise from your grave! Can someone who speaks Croatian contact HS and tell them they'd have a good market for their VHS-F2 19" barreled rifle manufactured as purely semi-automatic here in Canada, and likely elsewhere? Its been a while since anyone posted on it, but thought I'd post a fresh here with Ian from Forgotten Weapon's takedown and range videos of the rifle. The way it only requires a bolt flip and ejection cover swap to change from left to right side is nice, and Ian even showed if you fired it off hand the built in brass deflector keeps you from eating brass. The rifle has completely ambidextrous controls, and also has an adjustable buttstock. Given how will the Type 97 and Tavor have done here, the VHS-F2 should sell quite nicely here, if its not way over-priced.

If only we could get someone to import this G36 wannabe bullpup. Such a unique rifle.

The magwell is even interchangeable, allowing you to install either STANAG or G36 magwells. I wonder if they could do the rifle in 7.62x39mm with AK mags?

IIRC, the length-of-pull on these is a ridiculous 17 inches with the stock fully closed.

The whole thing just seems awkward from a human engineering standpoint, would not want.

So apparently rights to this rifle in Canada and USA belong to Springfield Armoury, who import the HS Produkt Pistols under their brand name XD. Not sure it's really worth our time and effort to re-design this for our market if it has to be done through another company who would most likely want a cut to bring these to our market -if they'd even want to do so in the first place. Not sure why they haven't moved on making this available in USA if they have the rights to it. Anyways, reviews don't appear to be that stellar anyways, so we decided not to pursue further.
So yeah, that's how it is. Someone needs to bug Springfield Armory.
