I have been using it with 180 Campro plated. I found a jug of it at a good price years ago. I know it is not the best powder for it but using it up.

Hard to really find much info using it at least to what I can find. If anyone has a link or some info it would be appreciated.

My question is what is or are the go too powders for heavy and lighter loads?

Thanks again

Calvin

I use HS-7 and 571Win in my 40 S/W with good results using 175 gr cast. Same powder just branded different.

I had a keg of 571 given to me recently. Fellow pasted away and I ended up with the powder he had. So lots of 571 with what I had. I’ll have to buy primers before I run out of powder.

I collect pdf's of old(er) manuals. I know, I know, I have a problem. The charge window is so small that you can find what works best for you by loading 7.8gr, 8.1gr, and 8.3gr. I don't know anything about this powder but usually (not always) slow(er) powders do better near the top.

FYI...use lead data for lead/coated and jacketed data for jacketed/plated. As long as the bullet weights match (or are very close), the data will be applicable. The bullet types (RN vs HP vs TC etc.) do not have to match. The only time this would not apply would be when loading something like a DEWC because of the extreme reduction in available case volume.

Thanks guys. Eased my mind.

So then, what would be something to look at for a light load, bullet weight/powder combination? I have Unique, Bullseye, HS6 to load about 3000 rounds of each.

Thanks 4n2to. Nothing wrong with hoarding older load data. Look you helped me out.
