thats an old trick hunter get behind at a 8 to 10 feets distance and the guy take the picture up close. here its easy to see because we can use the gun as a point of refrence.

It is a huge bear and will score well up in the B&C records book.
Here is a pic of the skull after if was cleaned.

BTW, The lab is not sitting 10' behind the skull either. ;)

the 1st pic the guy is sitting back from the bear its pretty obvious no photoshopping here its just having the hunter sit back a bit ..101 guiding photography ;)

YES its a dam fine bear no doubt about that either !
The guy who took the pics is a friend of mine. I guarantee there is no photo-shop involved. Go to This Thread and read the whole story and see the other pics Steven took.
Great story and pictures. Yeah, he sits pretty far back in the first picture, but don't really care after I saw the second and third. That was a big bear ! It would have you for a snack between lunch and dinner.

Do you know by any chance what rifle/caliber/bullet he used ?

Awesome hunt.

It's a big bear, it's no photoshop....Skull scored 25 10/16 IIRC

That bear was taken about 500 metres apart form where this bear was taken. 4 years ago.:)

Actually, in the first picture, you can see the old log/rootball that my buddy used as a rest to shoot this bear. Using a 160gr X bullet form a 7RM :)

Steven told me before they left for Bella Coola that Tim was taking a borrowed "custom" .458 Win Mag. I assume that is the rifle in the picture.
