Huge British Columbia coastal grizzly taken
Steven told me before they left for Bella Coola that Tim was taking a borrowed "custom" .458 Win Mag. I assume that is the rifle in the picture.
It looks like a ruger M77 in a custom stock

There are alot of ways to rebuild a P14/17 action to make it just as ugly as it was to begin with as demonstrated here!

With that out of the way, what a beauty bear! I wouldn't mind finding one like that for sure!

Thanks for sharing!:)

I love this pic, that poor lab would be just an appitizer for a bear like that..........I WANT TO HUNT COASTAL GRIZZLY, hell its been my dream to hunt any grizzly actually. The one hunt I've always wanted.

Just move out here to God's country. I don't think you or your girlfriend would have any trouble finding employment.

The other option is to win the 649 and book a hunt with a guide. :)

BTW, The bear was just scored by an official scorer ................... 25 13/16" . If it holds during the drying period - which it should - it will rank #32 in the B&C all-time book!

I'll tell you this Gary, after the tour to Haggisfest last year, I sure felt like moving there. BC has some outrageously beautiful scenery, but a person has to appreciate the beauty in nature where ever they are, and I certainly do. I love it here and would find it hard to leave MB again. I lived in AB for a few years, and when I moved back I said I'd never leave again. Hopefully I can hold true to that. I guess I'll just have to keep buying lottery tickets if my dream of doing a Grizzly hunt is to ever come true.

Sorry guys, I was gone for the weekend, just thought I would say, Nice Bear, and congrats to the shooter. I was maybe a little to quick with my first post and do apologize. Pic did look strange though. Anyways, didn't mean to offend anyone, and once again, GREAT BEAR.
