Id rather see the receiver destroyed and the rest sold as part kits. Dewatting destroys everything. Might as well melt them down, Since you already destroyed them. Atleast that way no one makes money destroying guns.

You can export them to Europe. People have gone from not having them there, to having anything you want. I wonder how
many FA people are left? The big collections used to be in Winnipeg Area. They were allowed to shoot them at one time.
Now they stay in the safe
So your rather have them broken up into pieced that can't be re-assembled to look like a gun here?
Or turned into rebar?
I'd rather have a dewat MG34 on my mantle than pieces of it buried in my concrete driveway.
Well put Fenceline.
I collect dewats myself. I'd rather have fully functioning examples but I don't have the right license and never will.
I am just curious…what type of dewats do you own?
Well besides the usual Sten, I have a dewat Česká Zbrojovka vz.24 (no German waffenamts), a 6.35mm Mauser m1914, an Esperanza y Unceta Astra Model 16 (Ruby) and a Model 1908 Pieper Bayard. Can't remember if its a 6.35mm or 7.65mm.
I'm looking for a prewar Melior in 7.65mm amongst a few others..
