I was told by a gun shop owner this week, that RCBS has announced a 25% increase in 2024. If that's true, that's a crazy price jump and doesn't bode well for the future as I'd expect all other reloading supply manufacturers to generally follow suit.

I wasn’t buying anything reloading related, we were just chatting about ammo pricing, availability of components etc. He had no sales motivation to tell me about the increase, he was genuinely concerned about it and the pressure it puts on the hobby/his business.

A lot of BS gets spewed by gun shops. One local shop always tells me to buy now cause they can't get more. The more successful shop often has it for less and can get more just fine. People will believe this story when retailers announce it officially. Gun store riff raff isn't taken too seriously around here.
I've been told FL dies don't resize the full length of the case and that all my Lee FL dies are out of spec and I'm going to have an accident using them for semi autos - at a gun store counter. His solution? Buy a $300 Redding 3 die set with a body, bushing bump and seating die. The seating die did not crimp which is what I was asking about regarding a Hornady 2 die FL set. You can't make this stuff up, but you can get it straight from the gun counter lol.
I do not think it's hype take a look at your regular day groceries (prices) have gone up. It makes perfect sense that more price increases are on the horizon. 2024 is going to be bad and 2025-26 is going to be really bad. Unemployment numbers are going up.
In 2 1/2 years our Canadian dollar lost 12 cents it was 0.8229 on May 7th, 2021 and 0.7408 today.

I believe it as it costs them and everyone more to make the products. I just bought another case feeder and it was almost double what the first one cost me 6 years ago.
Thanks to the scamdemic, the trust fund kids and the Narcissistic clown who are destroying our country.
The worth of each US $ is lower now also. Measure it against any common commodity you buy regularly.

Everything is going up in price with rampant inflation . Welcome to Trudeau's new Canada .
They is no doubt he'll get blamed, but Canada's inflation rate is one of the lower ones in G-7 . That's all very nice, but we're on fixed income and really notice it. But HD inflation can be scary. I remember the '70s and how they stopped it in the '80s.
