Huglu Shotguns?

My dad and I custom ordered two of the Huglu 201a Case Hardened side by sides from Prophet River yesterday. Great experience working with Prophet River selecting and specking out our shotguns... Looking forward to receiving these beauties in October. Will follow up with a post after they are received...

Hi all;

Before I post this question I have checked the ORDER FORM in other thread (https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/1526974-Excellent-news-from-Huglu-Shotguns) & some web sites but could not find a good answer.
it is about an item "Huglu - 103DE - 12Ga/3"/28" - Wd/Bl, case colored receiver, ejector, raised sides"
Other 103DEs do not specify "Raised Sides" in description.
What is "raised sides" ?
Is it rib?
When I compare the pictures of a similar 12Ga, I do not see a difference other than receiver color.

I really appreciate if someone could explain.

No difference. Receiver has a contour where the back is thicker. Extra contour, you can see it if you look at the large image. However, others have it too. Beautiful gun. Nice turkish walnut.
 
I've always had a love of SxS's. Rifles and shotguns. Just something that brings it back to the traditions of it all. I've shot my share of birds. Chased waterfowl from Canada to Arkansas and Both sides of Mexico.

I always went back to my benellis and though I have a couple SxS in the gun safe they would only make a couple appearances each season. This year I had a pledge to hunt every day with my new huglu. So far so good.

And to my pleasant surprise, this gun flat out can shoot. It shoulders great but even better it's point of aim is perfect. I don't even find myself thinking of aiming or leading anymore. I just shoulder and fire.

With a few little Pacific flyway cackling geese.

Strangely, was just putting together yet another order from Huglu tonight!! We've had great luck with these , so far :)
