Huglu users, what do you think so far?

I've had an o\u skeet gun for years. Haven't shot it a ton, maybe 500 rounds, it's been flawless. Looks good, fits well, well choked, can't think of any downside really.

I bought a coach gun. Beefy for such a short thing. What got my attention the most was that they made the effort to time the screws. Not something I expect in a budget gun.

I own a Huglu 201a which I custom ordered through prophet river. It has 30” barrels and beretta’s Mobil chokes. It is a beautiful gun for the money and has worked flawlessly so far. It handles very well. The barrels appear to be decently regulated. It’s lockup is very tight. For what it cost I have no complaints and honestly can’t criticize anything on my gun. My father has the same gun which was ordered at the same time... they’re close enough but the wood to metal fit is definitely better on mine compared to his. So the only negative I could suppose is quality might vary gun to gun, it’s possible I got lucky. The only reason I’m selling it here is because I’ve since upgraded to a Betetta 486 Parallelo.

I've no worries with the Huglu units. They be a tad stiff to open/close when new on occasion but they are a decent gun that will outlast all of us if cared for proper.

This one would suit me just fine.;)

Ok..... just not me then. My 20ga SXS is fickle to open/close on occasion.

Picked up a Huglu high grade wood O/U for 1k a year ago from PR, great fit, throws up just as good as my Citori, its my main trap and upland shotgun. Clay got me onto them, I'm consistently shooting 24/25 +25/25 (the odd 23/25) with mine and both Full extended choked. One of the best buys I've made over the years.
