Got yer back buddy. No sweat. We have adjusted the page ONE post to reflect the 2 open spots.

PM coming re: your refund for expenses

Peace be 2 journey,

Got my M14 on Friday, stripped it down and cleaned it up a bit today, now really looking forward to learning stuff from Hungry, and making this a real shooter!

For anyone else attending, the Barrie Gun Club classroom is downstairs in the club house, just look to your right after you come in, you will see the stairway there.

Only ONE week left until we get together and share the good times, just like the 10 Nov Calgary Clinic. Actually I get a thrill out of these clinics because it's a magical experience way more than Disneyworld in Florida could ever offer. Who needs that Epcot shzt and Magic Kingdom, when we at CGNutz have M14 clinics ?

Not much longer .... ONLY ONE spot available !!

Yes, I've got DVD sets to bring along ($ 5 only because there ain't no shipping involved) and I'm bringing some curved tip syringes for $ 2.00, the grease is FREE. I'm bringing the Ukrainian Tire Wheel Bearing low temperature grease for all of you to fill yer own !

Okay, latest word: We might have a MIG or TIG (or something like that) show up for the unitizing of the gas cylinders this coming 19 Jan Saturday. So who's up for getting their gas cylinder unitized ? We need to see if people are wanting this kind of service at the clinic.

BustaCapp needs to get an idea in order to decide if we should pursue this endeavour. There exists a 240 (volt or watt, I dunno) power supply near the clubhouse.

Who's in ?

i dont know the advantage of doing this ... ? i wish i knew so i could make a smart decision. what do u suggest ?

hungry here: read the stickies at the top of the MBR forum on accurizing and unitizing yer gas cylinder ass'y, then come on back enlightened grasshoppa !

Happy here: i'm in. and please forgive a grasshoppa :)

This welding process is not a test. It's a service a kind CGNutter is willing to provide for the clinic otherwise any M14 owner will have to use the services of a welding shop (or yer own personal welder friend).

I have always welded up my gas cylinders. This process has been documented for over 30 years now. Proven results to tighten up your rifle's ability to group.

Who else wants to have this done?

When we do the Hungry Western Kanada Road Trip this August 2008, I know that the Edmonton and Calgary CGNutters will have a welding truck or TWO at the clinics. It's not uncommon to see all kinds of welding rigs traversing the highways and biways of wild rose country. I miss Alberta ! :(

Barrie Gun Club M14 clinic types: You will be mindboggled with the information I'm tossing at you. Don't forget to bring a clipboard with a shztload of paper (notebook?), spare pens, maybe a digital camera to snap pics of some tools. I bought some new tools to show people. For example: A Fulton Armory Gas Cylinder tool, you can trace this tool and then create yer own out of aluminum, or plexiglass or any material you feel necessary or withing your ability to shape, cast, mold, carve, or dig out.

It's gonna be a long day, so pack along some snacks and drinks. Be open to networking with other S.Ontario M14 lovers. You will meet them and discuss all kinds of projects to have pursue. That's the appeal with the M14 addiction, there is so much to do and play with. You will make friends, some contacts will last a lifetime (no kidding, coming from a mere M14 clinic) of tweaking M14 's together. :D

At the last M14 Clinic in Calgary, many M14 lovers are arranging my next visit to Edmonton and Calgary for multiple day clinics. For example, our discussion for the 2nd day in Calgary will center around shooting positions for the M14, Slinging in and shooting the M14, Slow fire and rapid fire competition techniques for the M14, Using your iron sights in competition. All these topics are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to enjoying the M14 addiction. You guys thought that ONE day is all I can pass on to you ? ha ha ha I've spent years competing in NRA High Power matches with M1 Garands, M14's, and M1A's.... The knowledge will DIE off should I get run over by an errant school bus driver at my high school. ;) I have to keep teaching all of you M14 lovers out there.... MUST Teach M14, MUST Teach M14

End of sermon, Peace Be 2 journey

I have wanted to do a SW Ont clinic, but right now as the Ottawa fellas are discovering, I'm stretched pretty thin for my weekends. Still waiting for my new house to be built. I wanted to do an Ottawa clinic in April, but my wife is concerned that the builders might be putting our move in date of 10 Apr, further back.

Then once May rolls in, my service, Sniper , pistol season starts and all my weekends are spoken for between running matches, running Service rifle , or 3 gun matches, or Sniper rifle matches... not to mention supporting my downhill biking son who is on the Devinci Primary (pro styles) team. He races in the Ontario Cup and soon, Canada Cup races between here and Quebec.

Okay, I've got chicken in the oven and rice on the stove. In the meantime, I've packed up the boxes of tools for the M14 clinic. Even got cleaning kits for show and tell, as well as my usual 'OH Shzt' kits. Gotta find some "Hello" nametags. They were useful at the Calgary November Clinic. Wow, I've done /will be doing 3 clinics in the past 8 months... Holy Granola. Great stuff.

Only 2 more sleeps away. You West Coast M14 addicts have just gone through this anticipation: 45ACPKing, et all. It's always fun to network over the M14 addiction, trade services (like welding, rebarreling, tool making) among yourselves. Get ready, lots of information coming at YA !

Gotta go down and get packing some more for the Saturday adventure..... Yeeeeha :D

Any last minute instructions will be found right in this thread, right up into Friday night. Stay tuned here....

I hope this is actually a m14 class. With the 'dicks falling off' I hope it is not some euro self masturbation class................Heheheheh

I will find out I guess... 1 more sleep

Great Class.. Everyone should take this if they have an M-14 M-1 without exception. Hungry has definitely saved my ####(and hundreds of dollars). Also thanks to ishootguns for welding my #### back on. Hope you get a date Ottawa guys, cant wait for the advanced class.

i was going to stop and shoot on my way home but decided to wait to get some upgrades first and i didnt have any targets with me, but that never stopped me before. scope, mount, guide rod and stock will be first. should be done within this week :)

thanks hungry !

- Happy

Wow, a great thanks to Busta Capp and Ishootguns who helped me staff this great M14 Clinic.

I've got a birthday function in MIssissauga, so I gotta run. Would like to stay and participate in the debrief, but all I can say was that I was overwhelmed with the enthusiasm level. Not used to it, after teaching in high school all week long.

Peace out !
