Hungry M14 Clinic Video CD's - DOWNLOAD

The files are ready for download. I do not have a premium account so there are restrictions. You have to wait 45 seconds for the download button to activate, and apparently there are daily transfer limits, however I wasn't able to find out what they are. The download speed is fast, and the files will remain availble 90 days after the last time they were downloaded. So everyone should be able to get them eventually if we hit the limit.

Try it out and if you have any problems downloading post a message here.

Alright, thanks for that, I'm downloading... slooooowwwwwly ;)

Be advised that if you don't have a "premium" account with them not only is your download painfully slow (about 1 hour per file to download) but you also can't download more than one file at a time and they may make you wait between files (I had to wait 1.5 hour between file 2 and 3).

Hi Gimli, I think we hit the daily threshold for bandwidth. It might be faster tomorrow or in a few days.

FYI, these are the number of times the files have been downloaded, it adds up to just over 25 GB, so I suspect thats the limit. Give it a try over the next few days any problems let us know.

Dunno, I must've hit a very busy time of day or the site just didn't like me. I did download one of them very quickly late last night.

I hate to say it guys but in a week or so of downloading, if we had used a peer to peer setup like Bittorrent, we could have shared terrabytes of files, not 25G.

Note that was 25 GB in about 12 hours, not bad compared to a fast BT swarm (+ we are currently at about 45 GB).

I specifically discounted BT because the swarm would be too small to maintain. These files will be on the server 90 days after the last person had downloaded them and turned off their pc (and I think I can renew that via the web management tool). I dont think people here, however well intentioned could keep a swarm well seeded beyond a few weeks.

Agreed.

I am going to take your suggestion john and set up the downloads via FTP, once my provider confirms that only one or two folks can connect at once.

That way I can host them, publish the account username and pass, and leave them up all the time once the bulk of the downloading is done. That way future M14 freaks can get them once they get bit :D

Thanks for the response, John. I have offered three times to host a torrent and this is the first time anyone has posted back with any thoughts on why it might not work as well.

FYI, they are all up and hosted now at milsurps.com - both in downloadable and streaming format. Cheers. Thanks goes out to Badgerdog.

They're going like hotcakes, or 7.62 NATO at a M-14 shoot off!

No. of times downloaded

DISK_1 part3: 71
DISK_1 part4: 54

DISK_2 part1: 45

Numbers are probably a bit out of whack due to incomplete downloads that had to start over. Still looks like a good number are getting out there.

I'm so glad that we are getting great success. Many thanks to Badgerdog and his efforts. I would be amiss if I did not mention Skullboy and his efforts/foresight/hindsight back in 2004 !

Peace be to journey!!

Just downloaded the files and burned them to CD, they work great, thank you very much Hungry, Skullboy and Badgerdog for the downloads and the great information. :D

Going with lowest common denominator, looks like about 75 downloads for Disk 1 and 45 for Disk 2.
