Hungry Winnipeg M14 Clinic 31 July 2010 De-brief here!

Yes, bring on the USGI glass stock bedding projects. Life is great if you have already done the stock mods to the USGI glass stock , such as the 'popsicle stick' fix and also glassing in the large hole/cavity on the right side / starboard side for that pile of FA parts (connector, connector lock, etc.)

Cheers,
Barney

In your video you mentioned that yu didnt have to worry about your #### falling off if you worked on your norinco so long as it wasnt 10 yrs old. Mine is probably older than that. Does that mean the older ones are a waste of time? Has'nt been shot much ,probably about 500 rds. Are you limited to 20 people or can you squeeze another in if im late applying. I live about 350 miles away so its a fairly majour trip for me. thanx

Hungry here: I really would like to have a look at it before making any judgement. You see, many of the early 90's Norc M14's were a little goofy. Many years later, I just love how their QC got better and better. Yeah, we'll get you in at the Selkirk clinic if you can make it. Just pay me at the door.

If it helps narrow it down it came from century sports in quebec. I dont know if they are even in buisness anymore. I have had problems with the extractor & ejector flying out while I was shooting but I deepened a detent slightly & it seems to be holding together now. Are the receivers decent quality at least even if it does have other issues?

Yes and yes, the new receivers are fantastic. The zhinese got this one right. :D So often many folks on the internet focus on the negative: things the xzhinese messed up on the M14, well I'm here to change that outlook and re-examine what the Norinco people got right. AND they are improving things year by year. I find that very interesting. I love my 2007 M14 ;) That's the baby I'll be using for my teaching at the clinic. See ya there.

What is the address for the selkirk fish & game ?

Pinkfloyd, the easiest way to get there is to go up Highway 59 north from Winnipeg (that's the highway that goes past Bird's Hill Park and up to Grand Beach etc), go past the cloverleaf at Hwy 59 and Hwy 44 (stay on 59) then turn right off Hwy 59 when you come to Chorney's Farm (there was a sign but I can't remember if its still there, the farm is right beside the highway).

Don't know how many miles up from the cloverleaf Chorney's is but its not far - maybe 10-15 minutes driving time.

Once you turn right off Hwy 59 onto the gravel road you will see the range on the driver's side in a few minutes.

The range sign got blown down last time I was there (2-3 weeks ago.) I went to right it but there was too much water in the ditch/field
