Hi guys I recently bought a Hunt Group MH-S semi automatic shotgun with the wood furniture(price was outstanding),has anyone swapped the wood furniture for synthetic?
I would like to swap the stock for something adjustable maybe with a pistol grip that will help reduce recoil and make it more enjoyable to shoot,I done the same to my Mossberg500 and it made the shotgun so much more pleasurable to shoot.

It sure is in my house.

In the firearms industry, the term 'furniture' refers to all the small metal parts other than the barrel assembly and the receiver. This includes such parts as barrel bands, trigger guards, escutcheons, etc. In early times, most of these parts were brass. More recently, they've mostly been made of steel. Although synthetics are starting to invade the furniture space (trigger guards come to mind).

You can totally be forgiven for not knowing this, considering accessories manufacturers like Magpul use the term incorrectly on their packaging. Nevertheless, the 'stocks' are the stocks and the small parts are the 'furniture' and any other use of those terms in the case of firearms indicates a lack of knowledge on the subject. (Not disparaging anyone here. There's a lot to know about guns. Nobody knows all of it. Least of all myself.)
