Hunt with Milsurps...sound off?

I regularly take my M1 Garand out hunting, almost exclusively for moose and deer. It is one of my favourite rifles, and I want to get something with it but haven't had much luck with it yet. Maybe next year!

Sometimes I'll take out the full wood No.4 Mk.1 just for kicks. And if I ever get my hands on a swede mauser, I think I'll be trying that out in the woods too.

Another LE I hunt with...my back-up actually

Countless Canadian moose & deer shot with the British Lee Enfield in .303BR.
Remember Alberts Army Surplus in Timmins Ontario used to sell them stacked in 45 gal drums.
Back in the 70s Paw checked out a few and bought one with a decent barrel for the grand price of $12.
Had it for years and it put down a few moose and deer.
We gave it to an trapper friend of ours who was a full blood cree indian from kenora.

those were the days, old quillion bayonets for 2$ each, lots of enfields still in the grease, pick your own for 14.99. damn, but i'm getting old. glad my boy shares my interests as he'll have some fond memories when he gets old....

Got a Mule buck this year with my 1899 Swede.

22 Point bull I took last year with my Martini Enfield I got off the EE. Unfortunately one of my shots went high and grazed the rack.
