How come the camps in eastern and central Canada are permanent buildings, and the ones in Alberta and BC are temporary? Is it a reflection of the different laws and policys regarding crown land in each province? It seems everyone in Ontario has a cottage, from what I have seen on tv.

I think their the same laws basically just the ones from Ontario own the land and the ones in Alberta don't. I think it's just a coincidence

That's what it is all about and I hope to do something like that soon enough. But I really wanted to comment on your sunset picture. That is BEAUTIFUL! Actually used it as my desktop wall paper if you don't mind. Awesome pictures guys!

I'm glad you liked the pictures, and of course there is no problem with you using the sunset as your wall paper
. That picture was actually taken by my buddy Gini, the half asleep guy in the pics. We all take a lot of pictures there, then make cd copies for everybody. This way everybody gets a great momento of the annual camp.

You know boys were all very lucky to be able to have this! Most people just dont get it. Spend a week at a camp and you'll start to understand. Its more than farting, scatching, and hunting...its a place were you have the duty to co-exist with nature. Theres something about the cool mist coming off the pond when that bull moose comes out. Or that loud raven that we wish would go away until we are back at work and pray that we could hear it just one more time, enjoy those moments they are very special. Heres to all the camps enjoy & preserve.

No worries Doug, you don't have to send them I keep everything you send me in my "Dougs guns" folder. I've got pics of every gun you've ever sold, I don't throw anything out. Just a big jpg pack rat.

The beer cans, the antlers on the sides, and the stolen roadsigns? I think every camp thats anywhere close to ours, including ours, has the sign Whiskey Road. I swear, they stop putting the sign up because it got stolen so much.

that's an official "Old Fart's Camp".
Notice the recliners and the rocker...well, those pics were taken before we even saw or owned the camp (pics by slund of Gun Nutz who almost bought it). It looks a bit different now.............
But it is still an Old Farts Camp, you can tell because you can drive right up to the door!!!!!
