It's too bad they only have the courses for 4 provinces.
I know a couple of people who want to take the BC course but can't spend 2 evenings a week for better than a month doing it. (The only way it is offered locally)
It was actually pretty neat. You listen to the instruction piece by piece and answer a quiz at the end of each chapter (or skip it all and do the quizzes). The course was not difficult but I had some free time so I went through almost the whole thing and it took a few hours at least, although I did take a beer run break. The end got a little hazy You can completely stop and pick it up the next day or just do all of the multiple choice quizzes which would probably take fifteen minutes.
A few days later I brought the voucher in to my instructor and did the written and practical test before my restricted course. Overall the whole process was painless and kinda fun.
Did mine online too. Still had to write my provincial test with an instructor, then also had to do my written/practical for my PAL. However, the online course did nothing to prep for RPAL, had to read the book. Beware, there are lots of online "courses" that do not give you a certificate for Hunter Safety and are not sanctioned by the province.
