I don't know what other clubs exist, but I've been getting great practice with firearms handling and shooting from different positions and distances with the Operational Shooting Association at the MilCun Marksmanship Complex.
Even though these guys are on the military side of things, all civilians are welcome to join or just come out for different events and have fun learning real world skills. I've gotten SO much better understanding how to make difficult shots, or make the easier shots even more certain. My confidence out there has gone WAY up, and so has my accuracy.
Get out there and get good at it! It's fun, and satisfying.
