I was out Opening day and Tuesday no action, did not hear or see a thing. Also i heard very little in the way of other hunters shooting. I guess its not cold enough yet?

I'm in 66A and it was like wwII on Monday but some are running dogs so maybe that is moving them. it was pretty quiet tues and wed thou. hope to go out again sunday, Monday.

64A here, i will be back out Sunday and Monday. A Police officer stopped a buddy of mine , they were chatting and he said most hunters in that wmu had no luck either

64a here as well, I got my first...8 pointer too. 45-70 one shot stop. He made it easy since he was dueling with some bushes.
Good luck all.

Saw one buck in the real thick stuff. couldn't get a clean shot before he disappeared. The rest of the week has been working all day long with no sign of anything. Was told today that seems to be the norm so far just outside of Lynhurst. I'll try again next week.

I haven't seen a damn thing all week. I'm starting to think it'll be another year of nothing. I've seen lots of bucks on Green Belt land of course...

Just got back from 66A yesterday, six of us hunted hard Monday to Thursday and saw a total of 3 deer, buddy shot a nice 9-pointer.

Gang next to us has six members and three able hounds, as of yesterday a small doe only. Sadly, the oversupply of tags in years past,
last year's brutal winter and the extremely high number of coyotes has severely dwindled deer numbers in our neck of the woods.

Between us and the neibour's gang we shot three coyotes from the deer stand, almost as many as total deer seen...

Just back from 63A. 4 guys, no Doe tags. All we saw were does, probably 4-6 different animals over the week. One young buck on trail cam, at night, but we saw none during shooting hours. I would say it was quiet by historical standards, with a bit of shooting Mon-Tue, then not much at all Thur-Sat. I think there are way too many coyotes....

Wow, I thought the population was better this year than the last couple in 64A, Saw a pile of does in the two weeks and 5 bucks. its been years since Ive seen so many rubs and ground scrapps in the thick stuff.didnt see any bucks following does either,so the rut might be yet to come????

66A here, NO deer for us in the 2 week rifle season. I didn't even see a deer! Coyotes everywhere & that's all the land owner said the neighbors were talking about.

I'll be out for a couple days in the muzzle loader season, and maybe sit a couple days with the xbow. But, it ain't looking good! As others said, lots of doe tags in previous years & longer winter last year, has zapped the population...

Cheers
Jay
