WHAT A ####ING JOKE! Today Saturday I was all ready to make the drive down to the show, having purchased my tickets back in June, only to here on the radio that the Event location at the River Cree Resort has been evacuated due to an Ammonia leak.

I let a few hours pass and then followed the instructions on the radio, in which they said if your planning on going down you should call the resort first to see if they reopened. So I did. AND I was told that they have reopened. So I took the family in the truck and made the journey way down to the River Cree. I park the truck and we all start walking to the door, when a native police officer was turning away people, when I ask him what was the matter, he said the resort and show is closed for the day. I said WTF... I called before coming down and was told that it reopened!!!

So I don't know who ####ed up, the resort or Huntfest.. I cant comment on huntfest because there was no number that anyone would answer for them.. I WANT A FULL REFUND....

Well you'd have to be pretty f**king hard up to want to go to that anyway.
Who cares what a bunch of so-called 'expert' TV shills have to say?
Whoo harsh.....

I spent the day catching perch.

Proud to say I have never attended one HF yet. Don't have Wild TV either. Like to participate full on and leave the arm chair hunting to someone else LOL

:D

It never crossed my mind once to attend the Hunt Fest. Hunting has become to commercialized (especially the Wild TV channel-pund intended) I cancelled the Wild TV channel because of that reason. I timed most of the shows where there was between 5 to 7 minutes of hunting and the rest of the 1/2 hour show was commercials. To attend the Hunt Fest and jaw with want-to-be celebrities who have their heads up their a$$ is not for me. This weekend I went scouting for my son's mule deer buck which he got picked in this years Alberta draw. Now that's time well wasted.:D

Naw, not hard up, just curious really. But telling you what your 100% correct, these guys are a bunch of ####ing rich assed wanna be babies. Get all their #### for free, they like to think that they are the authority on hunting.. HA WHAT A JOKE... Good bye Wild TV, I wonder if shockey has someone wipe his ass when he is on the big safari

I went to Huntfest in Winnipeg last year, and it was ok. I guess it depends on what you expect. I have to say though, some of the comments on this thread are really disappointing. Calling names, cursing, and berating people you don't know just because they have a hunting show is pretty weak. I am far from a fanboy, but appreciate the efforts of those who put together shows I like...and for those I don't, I change the channel...wildtv costs me $3 a month...less than a trip to Tim's. For that I get to watch guys like Cody Robbins, dean Partridge, and Jim Shockey live out things I only get to do in my dreams. In spite of what you may think, not many of them make much money at it, and the only way to keep afloat is to sell the adds that you guys want to b$&@h about. I'll likely never buy a Quigley ford scope, never trust my life to an Argo...or join the Magnum hunt club...but I am appreciative of these groups for supporting the outdoors through their support of some great shows. If you don't like it, don't buy it, change the channel and move on. Sitting on a anonomis Internet forums talking down of strangers is pretty low.

Xs I think most of the "hate" comes from the distasteful commercialization of hunting as a whole, more so than the actual people that are part of it.

For me its because its obviously a complete and total money grab by the show organizers.

$15-20 admission for a fairgrounds barn?
Money money money. Thats all its about, including those organizing it.

Glad I decided last minute not to go. I got to see the outfitters not the stars. Usually send 1 hr swapping lies with John Hippwell from Wolverine Sports. This in itself is worth the $15, the man has a vast knowledge of guns and hunting
