Going to take it out for grouse soon. I really like this gun, and it seems to like remington's golden bullet(round nose), so it's what I'm going to use.

Those octagon barrels are really slick. Does youre have a metal or plastic band on the front stock?

It's metal, I think brass.
Worth the extra $80!

Kind of silly that the model I have has plastic(it seems), I know it's probably a cost saver, but I'm thinking I'm goign to be angry if I ever drop it and the band breaks.

I remember reading somewhere, that they sell a replacement for those.. For the difference in cost, though, the Frontier is worth it. I really hated the buck horn sights, though, the skinner peep sight is really nice to use.
