I was recently over the border in the Ogdensburg area, and was invited by a gentleman to hunt turkey on his property there. He regularly hunts in Canada, and can bring his equipment over the border with no problem, but he wasn’t sure how it would work going the other way. Has anyone done this? Is it a big pain to bring firearms from Canada to the US for hunting purposes?

Contact the US Bureau of Alcohol , Tobacco & Firearms . Get their application for a FORM 6 .
Fill it out & send it to them . They can email it back to you "Approved" . Takes 1-3 weeks . This allows
you to take your firearms into the US. When you cross the border , they will ask "Why".
Best is to have the US hunting license that applies , also available by email or mail .

I am done this many times , as early as last spring . ,,,,,,,,, Frank
