Hunting and a mountain bike.

i liked the pic of the bike with the cammo paint job. how does one rig the gun forks to the handle bars? weld? i have a camp where the roads can get nasty for a big vehicle like my f150, after last fall i had to replace a ball joint and both outer tie rods, and im too poor to buy a quad, this is a really good idea guys. if any has more pics, post 'em

Since Mr. Friendly seems to have said I'm going hunting on my MTB I'm guessing you'll be expecting some pictures of us riding with something wearing a natural fur coat (No Mr. F that doesn't mean your's) YAY for digital camera's 500 Pics on something the size of a stick of gum....WAIT How am I gonna wear my big black cowboy hat if I have my MTB hat on? This is gonna be interesting anyways I'm gonna have to set my bike up for riding meaning I'll have to take off my old clipless peddles again and put on the big shin shredders I bought and get my legs and A$$ in to shape for riding. I wonder if my dad will give me back my MTB's head lights. Anyways this is gonna hurt so *on knees praying* Please forgive me for what I'm gonna do to my body for the next 2-4 months.

gallen270 if you have handle bar horns already attached it should be as easy as finding a padded forked bar that has either threading or a tube clamp on the other end. Once I have my bike set I'll know whats required but I'd say no welding required just some imagination and an hour to tinker uninterrupted.

C.K

PS can someone convince Mr. Friendly to move it and start getting in to shape. For you who don't know it yet Mr. Friendly and C.K are brothers and I'm still looking of either of our adoption papers ;)

It does look good

now that you took the training wheels off.

There was quite a long thread on the 24 hour campfire last year about this.
More than a few fellas use trailers for their rifles and animals, a few of them are very well know guides....

I took a mt bike and small kid's trailer sheep hunting to the mt base,[motorized vehicals not allowed]Chained it to a tree ,waded across the river ,climbed the mt and shot a ewe[meat hunt]It fit nicely in the cart quartered along with the tent.Downside it rained and had to wait 2 days to cross river with fresh kill in grizzly country.Didn't get much sleep but I got my sheep...................beats the hell out of carrying it on your back....Harold

Only get a 6 pack in there, where's the other 18 go?:)

I used to pack 6 cans per side in cooler bags with ice then I'd slip them into my 140lbs Akita's backpack.

We would then hike up to the peak of Mt Cheam in Chilliwack when we reached the top I'd have a couple ice cold beer for myself and when other hikers saw what I had with me I'd sell the rest off to them it was always good humour to see them digging out their cash.

By the time we reached the top the ice would be almost melted so my dog would drink the water from the melted ice.

Ahh those were the days...
