I see everyone is starting to get the fall itch for equipment.
I was home to the Rock about 3 weeks ago and what a time I had trouting
(I posted enough pics to be banned
)
When out in the shed getting my old fishing basket, I saw Dad's huntin' bag hangin on the nail. As I did a million times i rifled through it. PRICELESS!!!!
He has 3 or 4 fire starting sticks, some twine, a pill bottle with a lighter in it and plumbers tape around it, a couple of boxes of matches, some snare wire,
another pill bottle with sugar in it, and another with coffee mate in it, and two tea bags , a compass and a fruit roll up. There are a half dozen Imperial number 6 shells, (the old ones with the rings in the brass)
He has been accross hells half acre and lost in between, and that's his gear.
He is coming up this fall to go goose and duck hunting and maybe deer or elk.
Can you suggest a good pack for him. Last time he came I wasn't very well prepared and he used my bag,
He is short, stout, broad shouldered, short armed, typical scottish genes.
More of a bird hunter than a moose hunter.
Not looking to braek the piggy bank.
