Looky. A little viewingreference of what I do, a carry over from my logging days in the mid 60's on the 'wet coast' of Vancouver Island at Gold River. To start with, a couple of 'friends' I kept from those days past, to use for timber hunting. My pair of Pierre Paris caulk boots.
For the lace up start, goes from under or the bottem so you can properly position that leather tab which helps wick off any excess water.
Then, to tie at the end, put the loop of the lace through the last eyelet and put the end of the lace from the opposite side through the loop.
And lastly, pull the ends 'til the loops tighten.
No fancy bows which eliminates tripping hazards.
