Hunting big game with slingshot

um what. I could probably just throw that arrow faster then he is shooting it with a slingshot.

That would penetrate like a 1/2 inch in a deer and the deer would just run away and the arrow would fall out.

On top of the fact of having to be like 10 feet away from the deer.

The deer probably has a better chance killing you then you have killing it with the retarded slingshot

I reckon my 9 year old would have no trouble pushing a broom handle into the end of that bale a foot.

Someone needs to try this out, let's say on rabbits before I believe it.......

Maybe even chrony this arrow, alongside an arrow launched by a longbow/recurve, using the exact same type of arrow.
If this single band does not work, perhaps two or three working together could.
just for arguements sake
 
Saw a video clip of a kid trying this out on a Saskatchewan lake full of carp. After many shots, the kid never got an arrow to penetrate.

I appreciate the guy's tenacity, but the legal and ethical issues that will follow this nut are going to be huge.
 
There was a guy in Hawaii that used this to kill a feral pig on youtube. Distance was short, but it seemed to do the trick. But the critter did not look very big.

He got his slingshot from a dealer in South Carolina. Watched his deer harvest on video, and one never saw him actually pull/draw/shoot using his slingshot, on the whitetail doe that he had filmed.
Just a short segment of him recovering the downed deer with a arrow through it.

Don't know what to say.............
 
I might actually try this one of these weekends with a coyote. I want to see what kind of penetration I'll get on a target before I bother going into the field. If I don't see it being humane I won't waste my time. I did shoot a few this fall with my bow within 10 yards spot and stalk so I think it's viable as long as it's lethal. If I go I'll be sure to take a video camera with me.
 
I think most of you missed the point of this video. Although it is titled, "Using the the slingshot to hunt Big Game", you first need to know what Dave teaches. He teaches wilderness survival. This is a survival tool. He is not recommending you go out in the woods and fill your hunting tag using this sling bow.

But you know, for a "retarded" guy he sure is doing very well (Discovery Channel - Dual Survivor) Successful You tube channel, and founder of the Pathfinder School - not to mention the 1000s and 1000s of people young and old he has taught and encouraged to get into the woods and hunt, sharpen existing skills, and learn together by creating a learning environment that's easy to understand for anyone, just to name a few.

But yeah, what a dumb dumb..:rolleyes:
