I expect the bullet you are using will work just fine on big game. I use a gas checked cast 280 gr cast bullet very similar to the BB 9.3 bullet and had great luck with it.
in 9.3x57 I had best results with IMR4895. About 35-36 gr will put you in the 1700 fps range and is low pressure , about 30k psi. 44-45gr = 2050 fps, 47 gr was max in my rifle. Start at 40 gr and work up if you are going for high velocity load.
