Hunting Boots

Pardon my ignorance, why not just use hiking boots? They certainly have support, can be waterproof and can be very tough.

Take a look at MEC dot ca for good hiking boots if what I am saying makes sense at all.

Edited:

And also they have tones of gaiters - starting with cheap nylon and all the way up to Gore-tex for $$$.

I was also thinking if I really need gaiters. Let us know what you decided :)

sulisa- the OR crocs are the cats ass for gaiters. they well hold up to tons of abuse and still work.

7.62- ajbrooks will take a fax with a tracing of your feet and make sure they work, if they dont fit right just send them back and they will fit you up. your going to get what you pay for and the meindl's are worth it.

Well that right there speaks volumes for Customer service. I thank you for your suggestion, and will be in touch with ajbrooks!

get a pair of Viberg Hunters.....boots will last you 20 years completely rebuildable.

I have a pair of Vibergs packers that are 16 years old been rebuilt once...a pair of hunters I have had for years just needing to be rebuilt.

do a search. Viberg are comparable to Whites out of Spokane

For that kind of money hire someone to carry you. :p

Seriously I have nothing of value to add except Danner makes some good boots.
