I'm thinking about buying a hunting rifle to help me survive when the world comes to an end. What models would you guys recommend, and what do you think is the minimum caliber that could be used for moose hunting?
 
world comes to end? well you'll need something in a nato chambering for easy ammo "finding".


Still has to shoot moose?

I'm afraid your question indicates an unstable mind. We do not endorse people such as yourself owning firearms,. Rather we suggest you go and work at your local womens shelter or food bank in order to develope a more grounded perspective. Good luck!
 
Based on my extensive research, the best firearms for a postapocalyptic scenario are your .357 Mag revolver (plenty of punch for shooting down helicopters)

i have no advice for when the world comes to an end.

for moose, i would say 260 remington or 6.5x55 would be a sensible minimum. using decent bullets of course.
