That wasn't a joke, one of the northeastern states actually has ( or had until recently ?) a shotgun season for pike. I read about it in field and stream I think. I thought it was Pennsylvania, but cant remember which state for sure. I thought it was a joke as well when I first read the article.

I was serious about the Lures by Dupont, My boss was in the Icehouse with me, I lit on and dropped it in the water with a 4 ouce weight tied too it. Told him I was tired of freezing my azz off. I believe you, some of these states have some really wierd things to do. Les

OK, but I'm not getting the "lures by Dupont" thing. I'm hitting the ice for the first time this season on Sunday and I feel unprepared without the latest gear. What exactly is it and how is it used? I'm prepared to bring my 500 Mossy and some 000 buck if this doesn't sound good.
 
Vermont is the state which has had the controversial fish hunting season (with gun) for decades. I couldn't say if it still exists.

HAH! I knew it wasn't just my imagination. The article I read, they were disscussing abolishing it but I never heard a follow up. This was last spring I read it if remember correctly.
