Hey guys,
Just curious what the best way to find a good hunting camp is in Ontario? Back home in N.S. we just walked into the woods and started hunting. Here it seems its a little harder to do that. I hunt Deer with crossbow and upload/rabbit with shotgun. Since crossbow season is much longer than rifle I'm trying to find a camp drivable from Toronto that I can pay to use the land from Oct 1st to Dec 31st. Of course I'd also be willing to share all game meat with the land owner as well. Ideally I'd like to be able to pitch a tent on the land and maybe build a camp fire. I'm not sure what reasonable compensation is for use of game rich land but I'm assuming a money and sharing game is reasonable no? I'm very conscience of the environment so I'd always keep the land as clean as when I entered or cleaner. (I always pickup trash I find on my way out of the woods).
Any help would be appreciated.
