Hey guys,

Pretty sure I know the answer to this but I've been told otherwise but two people. I have all the proper documentation and paperwork to go hunting coyote in Nova Scotia and I was going to take my Remington 700 SPS in .223 but some folks said I could take my Armalite M15A4 in 5.56mm (.223). They're saying I can because you can hunt coyote with .223 which is what my AR-15 is chambered in and because Remington now makes a rifle called the VR-15.

Do you guys know if I can hunt coyote with a restricted Armalite M15A4 in .223?

Cheers,

The remington VR15 and R15 are restricted, just like your Armalite.

You can't hunt with it.

A poll is pretty useless on this too, doesn't matter how many people say what, its still not allowed.

Check your ATT. See if it authorizes use anywhere but at a range.

That's exactly what I told them, my ATT states that I can transport my restricted firearms from my home to an approved range anywhere in the province of NS, 24x7... If I get caught in the woods with it, my life as I know it just ended.

Unfortunate, I would be all over this rifle.
