Anyone in Nova Scotia hunting crows all year round? What's you favourite shot to use for them? I'm using 4. And 1-1/4 powder. I find them as smart as a yot, or more.

We actually have a season here and it is now closed. Sept 1 to March 31. They can be killed outside of then only by the land owner for preventing property damage. I like to hunt them in the dead of winter with an e caller. You can get a pretty good shoot going some days and 4 or 5 boxes of shells can get used up. I'll shoot anything from 2's to 7.5's, whatever I have kicking around that is cheap or reloads. Crows are not hard to kill. CD

Yes I know there is a season thx. And it is only nusance hunting as they keep picking the shingle off the roof. Lol and destroying the gardens! I can hid for hours but they know I'm out when I go in they come back. The buggers know what they are doing lol!

Trap loads with 7 1/2 or 8 shot will kill crows stone dead all day long. Get into good cover and get them in close...IC or Mod choke. Hunted crows will get smart very fast as well.

In ON we can shoot them year round. Our kitchen scraps bones etc. conveniently get thrown out 200 yards from the back porch. :) It's a nice shot for the .222, and yes, they get wise very quickly!

My favourite shot is a 53 gr Sierra hp. :)
