The Arab snipers are not using the same old 1950s and 1960s stuff that comes here; they are using new ammo.
I have half a dozen rifles here that will make 6-inch groups at 100 with surplus ammo.
With decent handloads, they average much under ONE inch.
Few years ago there was some really crappy Turkish 8x57 around. IF it fired you could not count on an 8-inch group. I moved some charges over to cases with fresh primers and it shot UNDER 1 inch out of 3 different rifles.
Before you crap all over an idea, TRY IT. You just might get a surprise.
