I like the mid cuts a lot, but this said never tried the highs. I have rolled my ankle in them on the mountain but it took sincere effort. I got a free set of Scarpa Gran Dru GTXs outfitting as they wanted them placed with guides, so American clients would see and buy them when they came out. I’ve worn them maybe a month total. Keep going back to the Zamberlans I paid full pop for.

hey guys i have a drama.

i cant SEE the OFF TOPIC forum, an my thread was moved in there about the online payment refund thing- i only got to see 2 replies before it was moved- an last seen it had quite a few!

any chance someone can be eFfed to copy paste or screen shot ? for me to read please ?

hey guys to close this out-- i hunted down a pair of zamberlans....... however- theres a catch

not the ones we were chasing...... on marketplace i see some mountaineering type ones, 'expert plus gtx' , red things.

tried them on when in the big town an think they will be a good thing once broken in!?

very very stiff.

$200aud ... i tried on cripsis in shop, an they were alot comfier from the box-- but aud $650 for mids up to the $750 for long top an high top models..........

so for now il run zambys in, give em a goin thru the ringer, an if something happens... cripsi next.

thanks for help guys

Speaking of boots. I ran a few pairs of Danners for years then tried to step it up a bit to see if they last longer then 3 years per pair.

So I went with Cripsi's and they seem like an awesome boot. Nice and stiff and comfortable out of the box.

I was on the fence between zamberlans, Lathrop & Sons Boots and the crispi.

Loads of awesome boots out there. I may try the Lathrop & Sons Boots next.

Awesome to hear you found some. Hope they work well for you.

and when I say the Danners only lasted 3 years they were wore a lot, but not to work as they weren't steel toe so still not every day.
these are my last pair of Danners, these are 3.5 years old. they held up really well but you can see where they leak. lol

Cheers guys , they work exceptionally well for morning cuppa Tea time haha!

Hard to find Danners down here but have heard alot about them!

Ardent your picture of ya 7 yr boots inspired me a bit!

so far it has been so good. ive been wearing them around house for up to 4-5 hours , an then went to work in them, driving a kenworth all day.. not ideal lol but i wanted to see if my feet got hot spots or anything red flag.

give them a test in the mountains tomorow i think!, they are slowly going more 'brown' than bright Red

I have a great set of Zamberlan boots. Can't recall the model name but an older style, all leather, mountaineering boot, similar to the current Latemar model. Picked them up in 2004 and they are holding up well. I combine them with the Berghaus Yeti Attack gaiters that have a full wrap-around rand for late season hunting in the snow.

Tempted to pick up a set of the Tofane for use without the gaiters. A hunting buddy has a set of Toffees; he said they broke in very quickly and are the most comfortable boots he has ever owned.

i worked out via Zamberlan, the ones i purchased are 2011 model Boots... they were brand new still with tags, so im not upset in any way... it is old technology as far as boots go i believe.... but whatever for now.

i give them a good go in the bush recently.. hiked an MTB 40 odd Ks!

will post some photos one day

Are these the wasatch or another model? The only Wasatch model I can find is a high rise and I like mid rise boots. I need to replace my 996s and these look like the ticket. Cheers!
