Hunting ethics

Ethics are like your private parts. We all have them. But you shouldn't show them off to everyone. It's rude and it opens yourself to ridicule.

Isn't that what you are doing now? ;)

Sure opinions are like a$sholes, everyone has one...

And though we often disagree, the discussion is in the best interest of the sport and community I think.

And we all know for examples that there are many people with guns that aren't competent shooters. So I am sure it goes exponentially so for hunters given the volume of eg: handgun shooters to weekend hunters.

So please don't add your opinion or apply your ethics or ideas to other's posts and subjects - but then say the discussion of ethics around hunting is inappropriate.

Perhaps if only corrupt politicians fear armed citizens... Then only poachers should fear the conservation officers etc...

I shouldn't even respond to such bulls**t as I am hearing on this thread but I just can't leave it be.
If you are calling someone down who hunts over bait in a province where it is both legal and commonly done then I think you need to take a good look in the mirror. Ethics are different in different areas and cultures and who am you, or me for that matter, to call some down because they are following accepted practice in their area? I don't agree with all methods of hunting that occur in the world but I will not call down a fellow hunter because I haven't grown up with that method.
I can honestly say I am very concerned that some one with your attitude would call yourself a hunter.

Are you a little confused?
He pointed out that the Elk were probably in a largish pen, close to their man provided feed & water, & the bad part is it's proclaimed in a hunting show as "being great hunters"
I believe the two Itailian guys from S Ont got caught & charged a few years ago doing something similiar for their fishing show:rolleyes: it's a very misleading picture of what real hunters or sportmen do!

Not at all.

The original poster (who deleted his post and ran away) didn't want a DISCUSSION of ethics. He wanted a validation of his opinion and a pat on the back for being of fine upstanding moral character (in other words, he wanted to be told he had a great "package").
