Hunting for another rifle.

Hi everyone,

I am thinking of getting another rifle, either a 30/06 or 270 bolt action.
Since I am a lefty choices are not that great. Ruger, Savage, Browning, Winchester or Remington? Which would you choose and why?

Ruger No.1 in 270!
It's a single shot, and although not one of my picks for caliber, will do nicely.

are accurate and are priced well.I plan on buying another in 300wsm weather warriour for next years moose hunt.

I'm with Cat the #1 is really nice, but a bit rude on the bank account. I have a Savage 11FL and just love it, it is definatly "Utility Grade", but shoots like a house on fire. $590.00 New. The CDLM700 offerings from Remington are nice too, the come with 24" pipes for the standard calibers, especially nice if you want a 270.
And if you want a WSM try the FWT M70 Winchester, about the same $ as the #1

All great advice, and to go along with the single shot, the old lever gun is also a fair choice(savage and win). And as for a bolt gun, my buddy can cycle a right handed bolt pretty quick (hes left), and it looks pretty cool. So being a leftie is not that much of a problem. These built left bolt guns come up on GN some. Good luck with all

Winchester M70 Classic in 30-06. I have a few M70's and would never think of replacing them with any other model. For me they are the perfect bolt action.
