Ok so since there are many types /styles of hunting I'll try to break it down into a few different categories. But here's the question.
Please state the type/ style of hunting you do most, what you take with you, and how you pack it.

I'll start
Aug-oct I call Elk in the thick brush. Day trips mostly ( return home every night)
I hike in so along with my weapon I use a modern modular frame pack that allows me to carry the first quarter out with me.
In my pack
Head light
Kill kit ( tags, knife, gloves, 50ft 550 cord, contractor bag, game bag)
2L water
Snacks/ lunch
Calls
Phone
First aid kit.
SOS bivy
Fire starter/ lighter

In my truck
I keep a large frame pack
Extra game bags
Trekking poles
Extra food/ water

deer hunting- day hunts. Hike in and call / rattle, walk cut lines, sometimes sit a tree stand
I generally go real light
Weapon
Binos/ range finder
Belt with extra bullets, knife
Small bladder pack under my coat with a folding saw, tags 12' rope drag, light, fire making kit, small first aid.
Calls around my neck
In the truck I keep either a calf sled or game cart, extra water/ food, warm dry clothes/ boots.

Coyote hunting- walk in sets usually truck to and from spots
Pack with built in back rest
E caller
Hand calls
Extra bullets
Binos
Range finder
550 drag

Don't forget toilet paper.

Is that weapon clip fed?

Funny....half the season it's a bow ( either trad or compound) the other half it's either a marlin 45-70 or bolt action 308.
Clips belong in my daughter's hair my guns all use magazines that hold cartridges made up of case, primer, powder, and bullet that I assemble myself on my reloading press.
What do you take hunting? Or do you just hunt from your computer chair?

Don't get so triggered.
As far as clips in your daughters hair...a tad Butch IMO
I've got about 6-8 clip fed rifles...they give up nothing to a mag fed one IMO. Get a deer or two every year with one or another of them...they usually are a touch more manly than hunting rifles IMO. Not that this is a thing... but a Milsurp that's seen action has a certain Je ne sais quoi, eh
OP's question; I usually walk North into the trees...I'll often carry the BOB that accompanies me...well, pretty much everywhere I suppose. Basic med kit ( crazy glue ), a little H2O, maybe a snack, string, shoelaces, matches... Blah Blah Blah
If Spidey senses are tingling...maybe a 41 LC, always wonder about the Cougars.

I carry poncho or Kuiu Raingear.

Kill kit consists of saw, knife, sharpener, gloves, string and tags.

Extra Calls.

I have a tree umbrella....for in the stand when it rains.

Hatlamp spare batteries.

Compass, waterproof matches, and a couple Zip firestarters.

1.5 - 2 liters water.

In my daypack:
Water Canteen
Coffee thermos
Woobie hoodie
Game bags
First aid kit (TQ , quick clot , olaes bandage, boo boo kit)
Small emergency pouch (fire kit , small whetstone , spot tracker , water Puritabs , chocolate, headlamp)
Rain Poncho
Spare pair of dry socks & gloves.

On my person:
belt knife ( Cudeman selous)
Tags ,wallet , phone
Couple extra rifle rounds.

I hunt deer and black bear usually still hunt/spot & stalk , I like to walk , sitting in a stand all day bores the $hit out of me.

Same fella.

Whats your tactic? I usually walk for about 20 quiet steps. Will use my doe bleat or buck call depending on how im feeling and just sit on a rock or lean against a tree for 20 - 30 minutes Making sure to keep the breeze on my face. Its an all day event really.
