Hunting hogs in Canada

Once has to be very careful Barrhead and adjoining area.
The Athabasca River valley runs west and east and is a convenient wildlife corridor. Swann Hills are just due north and an occasional grizzly is not an impossibility. Also this surrounding rural area is rife with black bear.
A few years back a teenage quad rider at provincial park was pulled from his tent by a black bear ending in fatality.
This is an area where you have concern for your personal safety.

Edit: if you decide to cruise Connor Creek beware that forested jungle between the northern tip of horse pasture and due south the public boat landing.
And I do believe it's going to be closed for shooting very soon and yet to open up until November.
