Hunting in a little more comfort this year!

Last year at hunt camp, I froze my @$$ off a couple of times, with some unexpected frosty mornings...

No more!

This year I will enjoy some comfort: I found this little import camper for sale, it was tucked away under cover for the last 12 years! Everything works in it, cooler, furnace, 2 burner stove, water pump in the sink, external water and electrical hook ups too. I got it so cheap, that if I had to leave it behind in the bush for some reason, I wouldn't even hiccup.

Good score, as there are not many campers around to fit Toyota Tacomas without spending a small fortune.

A small trailer might be better, keeps the truck free'd up.... but I have the quad to ride.

I used to run a small camper as well I just took my camper jacks with me and popped it off the truck when I got to where we were going to camp.

It's a Tristar... made in the Okanagan, in the late 70's. The company doesn't exist anymore.

You can get those electric jack stands that stay attached to the trailer all the time. Just pull into your spot, hit the switch and it raises the camper off the truck, then drive out from under it. Its pretty cool !

I've been hankering for a mobile hunting camp and a truck/camper combo has been my eduated decision. Driven aerial trucks, tandem tankers in the FD but as soon as you hinge it in the middle my driving skills become a circus. Just gotta wait out my lease on the SUV and go shopping. There are some absolutely awesome units out there if you have the $$$. Great grab on the camper and hopefully no more mornings with frosted nads.

Yup, got a small trailer for the quad etc. I'd still prefer to put the quad in the back of the truck, and haul a small boler or something... it's probably easier than dropping the camper. The electric jacks sound pretty simple though!

They are rare due in part to the limited gross vehicle weight of most import sized P/Us.

I'd like to find one for my soon to be bush truck - 2002 Tacoma extended cab 4x4.

Just as a thought Popcan, why does it have to be the quad on the trailer??

Put the camper on the trailer, and the quad onto the truck! Unhitch trailer, block it up, and voila! (Assuming that your trailer will carry the camper)

Closer to the ground too for getting into and out of.
