Hey guys,

Just throwing this out there. I'm studying in the Republic of Ireland and I'm missing out on all the good hunting back in Canada. I want to do some upland game bird hunting (or anything for that matter) while I am here. Pheasants is something I want to try with a SxS shotgun, and wearing tweed (kidding.. sort of)

Have any of you guys done a hunt in the Republic of Ireland? If so, do you know any good guides? Or just know people in general that'd be willing to show some Canadians here (quite a few of us) the ropes?

If so, PM me!

I worked with a couple of Irish guys here in New Zealand and they weren't hunters but knew that it wasn't exactly easy to do. Check out the forums at irishshooter . com and put up a thread offering labour (or beer) in exchange for shooting. Hopefully some old cocky will take you on for a weekend of shoveling shyte and let you out with his SxS for a few hours on Sunday evening ha ha :D

Hi,

Got connected on Irishshooter.com already. They're pretty nice fellas over here. They're a small group, but they love their guns just as much as we do! They even have an Enfield appreciate club.
